Farm View House is an excellent base for visiting this area. There is lots of walking opportunity around Rutland water and many townsvillages around to visit. The facilities at the house were good. A lovely cake, a loaf of bread, butter, eggs and milk welcomed us when we opened the fridge. The kitchen was well equipped. The games room was a big hit and the hot tub a lovely addition.

Had a wonderful short stay at farm view. A lovely clean property with everything you could wish for in holiday accommodation. The only things we had to grumble about is loose carpet on the 2nd step of the stairs. Also the settee was extremely low and no good for the elderly people in our group and it almost seems to be buckling in the middle. That said we wouldn't hesitate to book this accommodation again.

Perfect for our family group long weekend away. The house had everything we needed and we appreciated the generous welcome gifts. The walks from the house were lovely and we made good use of the games room and hot tub. Plenty of parking outside which was useful as we came in 3 cars.

Very spacious house. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 dogs, with enough comfy chairs plus the large dining table and kitchen island to sit at. Good facilities in the kitchen with plenty of mugs, plates etc. No issues with hot water. Garden is small but enough for the dogs to sniff around and is secured by fencing. Lack of information is the only let down. No instructions for using the heating or cooker. We didn't try the hot tub but wouldn't know how to. Also would be useful for hosts to provide information about what can be recycled and which bin. The recycling bin outside was full. Village is quiet and very pretty. We would use this house again in future.

What a wonderful place to see in the new year. We felt the photos didn't do it justice, it's so much bigger. There were signs that it could do with a deep clean but generally it was ok. Such a lovely welcome back which was very much appreciated, a real treat.

This was our second visit to the property for Christmas and once again it didn't disappoint. A lovely property in a beautiful village. Welcome food hamper on arrival including bread, milk, butter, eggs, cakes, tea and coffee as well as a beautifully decorated Christmas Tree. Plenty of wood for the fire. The hot tub and the games room are fantastic, table tennis, pool, darts, a arcade golf game which kept the men happy and a games console is also a plus. The bedrooms are very comfy and the kitchen is very well equipped with a massive oven and hob as well as a air fryer. Garden is very secure for our dog and plenty of parking. The pub in the village is a must. Food is excellent. There isn't one negative with the house. Already booked for Christmas 2026.

Wonderful house. Lovely welcome pack and the cake was unreal!!! Really well equipped property with a fantastic games room and hot tub. The property is very spacious with 3 large double bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could wish for. The whole house was very clean when we arrived. There were 5 adults and 2 dogs and we never felt on top of each other. The driveway easily accommodated our 3 cars. The only downside is the car can scrape on the driveway if fully laden. the driveway could do with a bit of work to prevent this. The local pub, The Stilton Cheese Inn is a great dog friendly family run pub serving excellent food and only a short walk. We visited Melton Mowbray and Rutland Waters, both easily accessible. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone

The house was ideal for us. It's in an excellent location on the outskirts of Somerby which is a beautiful village. On arrival we found the welcome package of bread eggs milk and a beautiful cake . The property is well equipped and very comfortable and clean . Due to the circumstances of our stay we did not spend a lot of time at the house and probably didn't make the most of the facilities.The hot tub looked clean and well maintained and the games room has a full sized table tennis table , a pool table and dart board. There are plenty of good walks for dogs and the local pub 'The Stilton Cheese ' is definitely worth a visit . We would have no hesitation in booking this house again if the opportunity arose.

Our best stay ever! The house is gorgeous with everything you could need and even more. Very warm and clean house, smells wonderful. You feel hospitality in every detail started with a huge welcome package with cake, milk, butter, eggs and bread and finished with wonderful aromatic hand soap. Very strong water pressure in the shower and hot tube! And the location of the house is very good. You can find several parks to walk with kids and dogs 1520 minutes by car and also buy fresh milk, eggs and other farm products. I'm sure it's much better in summer time as there are water park and aqua park very near. Hope to come back again one day! And 100 percent recommend!
