Waxwing Cottage,

This cottage is bigger than it looks in the photos. There are two cottages together separated by a connecting door inside. The rear of the cottage has a large outdoor area and hot tub It's fenced and secure for a larger dog ours would fit through the gaps but is always kept on the lead anyway so wasn't a issue. The cottage is located on the road into the farm so there is traffic going passed the front of the cottage often as there is a fishing lake, people tending to their horses, farm vehicles etc. This wasn't excessive but frequent and worth noting. The main gate is locked in the evening and so it's quiet from 9pm onwards.It's not far to the next village and about 5 mins drive to Market Harbrough.The cottage is spacious, there was plenty of room for everyone. There was plenty of cutlery, good sized kitchen equipment, glasses etc the dishwasher is large there is no washing machine - but for a short stay that's no problem.There's no garden shade and no garden umbrella that we found - garden had some natural shade late afternoon but it would benefit from a garden umbrella. The two larger bedrooms have big wooden beds - these look amazing but both are very squeaky and the mattresses could do with an update. This didn't bother the kids - because nothing bothers them, but we didn't find either very comfortable. The bathrooms are both good sizes and the bedding and towels supplied are very good quality, all smelt amazing and the towels were so large and soft.It's a fabulous place to stay - We had a great stay.
