Well what can I say. This is the second time we’ve stayed here and this time to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary and little Evie’s 4th birthday and it does not disappoint. The inside space is so homely and just works for us as a group of 8. And the outside space is gorgeous. Absolutely love seeing the sheep outside and this time we had the bonus of three donkeys for a few days. We live quite local and yet it seems like we’re 100 miles away. Definitely hope to return one day. If I could make one change it would be to check out at say 10am or even later not 9am as it is currently. Might seem a minor point but it is quite a big deal for us and the extra time would mean an awful lot.

Ideal accommodation for eight adults, with four bedrooms/bathrooms. Lovely rural setting with.good access to local attractions, e.g. Rutland Water, Foxton Locks and Barnsdale Gardens. Could benefit with some maintenance of doors not closing, fridge repair and more comfortable sofas and storage space in bedrooms/bathrooms, but nothing major. Owners nearby, very pleasant and unobtrusive. Recommend it for a short break.
